Polygamy and TLC

TLC has been running a show for some time called Sister Wives.  I've never heard of it before.  But apparently it's causing a bit of a ruckus. 

The show deals with a man and his four wives.  Yep.  Four wives.  The theme of the show is polygamy.  And they're attempting to show you they're not the typical monstrous polygamists you read about in the news etc.  The ones that rape children on secretive compounds etc.

So I guess they're 'normal'...

I won't be the judge of that.  Can't be!

But, they are being brought to court for breaking Utah law regarding marriage etc.  And it's resulted in a bit of moral hullabaloo from both sides.  Freedom and privacy vs. 'immoral and unacceptable sexual activity'.

Hamilton says there have been more than 100 challenges to polygamy laws, including in Utah, and all have failed.
