"Thriller" jacket sold for a boatload!

Michael Jackson's famous Thriller jacket was purchased for a pittance at 1.8 million dollars at auction.  Beating all expectations it rose to the top and pulled in the most dough!

Pretty sure this guy won the bid.
Several other MJ paraphernalia was purchased during the auction.  None of them were able to stand in comparison to the glory of the Thriller Jacket.  Such is life.  Letdown after glorious letdown.  And Thriller.

Hot weather, hot babes.

There's a rising trend of air travel being done wearing skimpy clothing: lingerie, short shorts, etc.  And everyone's getting into the habit!  You, me, yeah, everyone!

Yeah, baby!
Some people think it's the bee's knees.  Other people...total squares, think it's odd.  Un-groovy.  Not cool.  Yeah, whatever man.

Yeah, baby!

Although.  The skimpy clothing of one man in question grabs a lot of attention.  Some negative (negative nancies obv) and some positive (yeah, we're cool).  And people begin to question airline policy and such.  They're response in this case is:
"As long as you’re covered you can fly. In the picture, that man is covered. A little unorthodox, but covered."
In a separate case, a man was removed from a US Airways flight and arrested subsequently afterwards for failing to pull up his saggy pants.  Maybe they were jealous of being teased and took their anger out on him.  Whatevs, yo.

Real life Noah's Ark, say wha?

A man in the Netherlands had a dream that inspired him to build a life-sized model of Noah's Ark from the Bible...according to exact specifications.  Four stories high, the length of a football field, and in the works for three years and counting.  And seaworthy?  I do believe this thing is amazing.  Should be completed next year in time for the Olympics!

Pretty sure it looks like this.
The result is an incredibly impressive ship, especially considering it was realized simply by a man with a dream--or, perhaps, a nightmare. According to an interview with NBC's "The Today Show," Johan dreamt that Holland suffered a great flood. The next morning, he woke up determined to start preparing for that worst-case scenario.

Man robs bank for one dollar, incarcerated as last resort

This is a very scary look into what people are being driven to doing with the current state of the economy.  The man hasn't done anything overtly offensive or criminal, but the fact that he was forced to even consider an option of this sort is disturbing.
The day Verone set out to commit his first felony, he mailed a letter to The Gazette.
He listed the return address as the Gaston County Jail.
“When you receive this a bank robbery will have been committed by me. This robbery is being committed by me for one dollar,” he wrote. “I am of sound mind but not so much sound body.”
Verone wanted to talk to a reporter to make sure people knew why he turned to crime. He figured he had nothing to lose.
“I knew that a felony would not hurt me. I cannot work anymore,” he said. “That felony is going to hurt my reputation.”
Very revealing and extremely logical, given the circumstances.

Hello!

I'm shooting to keep track of interesting news articles.  Nothing of any specific sort one way or another, just potentially interesting and worthy of reading!  Maybe this, maybe that.  Who knows.  Should always be relevant nonetheless.
